UK: Refrigeration and air conditioning wholesaler HRP has reported that its knowledge-based website fgasman.co.uk, is proving popular amongst contractors and engineers, with already some 2500 having registered their details in order to be able legally purchase F-gases.
HRP have reported that they are receiving over a 100 visits a day, and a wide variety of questions being posed concerning the new F-Gas regulation. In addition they are also receiving a number of queries relating to systems still operating on R22, following the ban on recharging systems with recovered refrigerant that came into force on 01-January 2015.
Mandy Pilgrim, Managing Director of HRP said, “It is clear that there is a need for straightforward information. We are glad to be able help contractors stay on right side of the law and to make sure that the essential environmental regulations are met by the UK industry.”
The wholesaler has reported that F-Gasman’s answers have helped contractors understand the details of the individual and company registrations required to purchase refrigerants and the training needed to gain registration. To support this, HRP has provided additional training courses in the C&G 2079 and CITB J11 qualifications required for registration.
